Verse 1:
What ever happened to The Golden Rule?
Treat all people as
You would want to be
Respect and courtesy
Seem like a distant dream
Verse 2:
What ever happened to love your neighbor
As you love yourself?
When hate is all around
Knock each other down
Grind them to the ground
Bridge1:
Didn't Jesus say that
Everything you do to others
You do these things to me, why can't you see that?
Verse 3:
When love is lacking it's empty space
Is quickly filled with hate
Of all that's not the same
Feel the need to shame
Dump on them all blame
Bridge2:
We can make all a winner
No one has to lose
When love guides our views
Bridge3:
Where is the love in wearing no face mask?
Where is the love in knee on neck?
Where is the love in looting your local store
Or bashing over the internet?
Where is the love in Molotov cocktails?
Where is the love in the barrel of a gun?
Where is the love in anything you do
If only for your own gain it is done?
Verse 4:
What ever happened to The Golden Rule?
Treat all people as
You would want to be
Respect and courtesy
Are not a crazy dream
Love is the key
To happy, safe and free for all
